There's no doubt that Dave Chapelle's latest Netflix specials has been one of his most successful. After the Dayton Ohio shootings, Dave hosted a massively successful block party for his home community, even bringing in Chance the Rapper and Kanye West to lift the spirits.

While many have rallied behind the comedian for his recent philanthropic efforts, others aren't as happy due to his most recent Sticks&Stones Netflix special. Known for not shying away from controversial topics, Chapelle covered the Michael Jackson Leaving Neverland special-

"I don’t think he did it, but you know what? Even if he did do it," he says before pausing. "You know what I mean? It's Michael Jackson. I know more than half the people in this room have been molested in their lives, but it wasn’t no goddamn Michael Jackson, was it? This kid got his d*ck sucked by the King of Pop. All we get is awkward Thanksgivings for the rest of our lives. You know how good it must have felt to go to school the next day after that sh*t?”

; Netflix Review Dave Chappelle: Sticks and Stones Grade : C + REVIEW: Let me start by saying this. If you do not think you can find humor in any of the following: Michael Jackson molesting kids Racial stereotypes LGBTQ #metoo movement Gun Control The Opioid Crisis White people and their love of drugs Gun violence and lastly, school shootings, Then I strongly suggest you do not watch this. You've been warned. That being said, I have been clamoring for a new Dave Chappelle comedy special on Netflix. Since signing an exclusive deal with the streaming giant, Chappelle has had some seriously funny hits.... and also some bad, very bad misses. This falls somewhere in the middle for me. For starters, strangely you won't find this on the Netflix main page. Hell, I had to go searching for it, which I found odd. But within the first 15 minutes, I understood why this has been buried by Netflix. Crude, unapologetic and visually not giving any fucks, Chappelle starts off with some hard content. Some of which hits, most of which completely misses; and its noticable. The audience at times seems caught off guard, and if you look closely will see several front row audience members sitting with crossed arms and clearly angry. I would like to think I have a dark sense of humor. If you know me, it's hard to make me uncomfortable when making a joke. But for me to sit here and sometimes gasp, even pause the show at times, thats when I knew this falls short of previous comedy specials that rank amongst his all time classics. The show is not a complete mess, as sometimes it is gut punchingly funny, especially when Chappelle goes back to old set ups and punchlines. The guy is still a comedy legend and in the last several years, has done great work on Netflix. But this time around, it just did not work for me. Here's to hoping that the next one is a return to form for Dave. . . . #netflix #davechappelle #sticksandstones #standupcomedy #comedy #instagramreview #filmreview #netflixreview
