Lonzo Ball has had a bit of a rough start in his first two seasons with the Lakers, and that may be an understatement at best - it comes as no real surprise when word came down that the Lakers were trading Lonzo to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Lonzo has of course been a polarizing figure due to his father Lavar Burton, especially after being chosen as a second round pick. We've long known that Lonzo was picked up by a franchise other than his dream team, and in a recent interview with ESPN he revealed that he knew he would eventually be traded - in fact, her's quite happy about the move to New Orleans.

"I was kind of excited, honestly. I kind of figured someone was going to get moved soon enough," Ball said. "I knew Anthony Davis wanted to come bad. Anytime you can get a guy like that, you are going to have to do what you have to do to get him. So I was kind of already just waiting for it, honestly, and I was happy to go with two guys I am comfortable with in B.I. [Brandon Ingram] and JHart [Josh Hart]. I am excited to see what we can do."

If the trade had come earlier in his career, Lonzo revealed he would have been devastated - now, not so much. With a better understanding of the backend of ball, it's simply business.
