Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, or as the world knows him Kendrick Lamar is hardly new to the game- it wasn’t until recent years that the man exploded into the legend he is today. Born and raised in Compton Cali, K-Dot skyrocketed to international acclaim after his original label Top Dawg Entertainment merged with Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records back in 2012.

After releasing Overly Dedicated, Section 80 and HiiiPoWeR, Kendrick gained a massive online following that included names like The Game, Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes- his flow turned heads and raised eyebrows of even big names at the time such as Eminem, whom invited him into the studio just to confirm he didn’t have a ghostwriter.

Having gained household name recognition after mentorship from Dr. Dre, his freshman album Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City was released to critical acclaim- and was dubbed a classic before it even officially dropped. This has been Kendrick’s style across the board: everything he touches turns to gold, including the lit look he rolls in today.
