Kodak Black, otherwise known as Dieuson Octave is one of the realest young rappers in the game right now, but comin’ up ain’t easy. Kodak Black is best known for 2 things- his mixtapes Project Baby 2 and Institution as well as his ongoing legal battles that has kept Black in and out of jail for the last several years. What can’t be denied is Black’s dedication to hip hop jewelry style, as the Florida native can be seen with his signature gold bling bling jewelry bracelets and iced out jewelry chains wherever he goes.

Best known for his singles “No Flockin” and “ Tunnel Vision,” Kodak Black started rapping at age 12 under the name K-Black with Brutal Youngnz- after dropping Project Baby in late 2013, Black went on a spree of mixtapes which in 2015 earned him a video co-sign from Drake, dancing to “Skrt”. From there the Florida rapper picked up  a deal with Atlantic, and the rest is history.

Perhaps all his time in solitary will give him a moment to write up new lyrics for his next mixtape- one can hope.
