Young Gangsta, YG, Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson- the Compton based emcee got his start in 2009 with a debut single featuring Ty Dolla Sign and soon after scored a signing with Def Jams Recording. From Nipsey Hussle to 2 Chainz, this up and coming rapper is making a name for himself like no other in the game- as long as he continues to hustle he may be on the next wave of young rappers we see at the BET awards.
Getting his start with a dope lineup of mixtapes, YG really hit his stride in 2013 with the release of “My Nigga” with Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan, topping the 19th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 List. Since then YG has been killing it with Drake features, his own imprint Pu$haz Ink, and collabs with Mariah Carey and more.
