Weeknd Breaks Another Record

With the Weeknd breaking yet another Billboard Record with hit single 'Blinding Lights' it's fair to say that that 'Blinding Lights' is indeed a smash hit.

His fourth album 'After Hours" received a massive snub already for the January 31st Grammy Awards coming later this month with drama that followed. However, The Weeknd has already been preparing to debut some new politically inspired music. With the success of 'Blinding Lights", that alone is enough to prove that the Grammy Awards committee may have purposefully left him out for any nominations for any category and he has already called them out for it. 'Blinding Lights' went on to become The Weeknd's fifth number-one single in the United States, climbing from its debut at number 11 way back in December of 2019.

Even with the lack of a nomination for the Grammys, The Weeknd's hit song is breaking yet another record as the highest re-entry in the Hot 100 Chart when it re-entered at number 3 this week. The song has already spent 43 weeks in the top ten, breaking the record for the most time spent in that region of the chart since the beginning of the chart's history.
